We are looking for a Cloud Engineer/Integration Specialist to join us!
WHAT CHALLENGES SHOULD YOU EXPECT?
You will be part of a team that has to:
a. Prepare IT to leverage cloud technology and ensure we have proper governance and best practices.
b. Work with the NYC Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) on security and infrastructure policies.
c. Partner with technology vendors and recruit/train/retain staff with appropriate skill sets to support and advance our use of innovative cloud technology.
Infrastructure and cybersecurity support includes provisioning and support for cloud and on-premises computing, storage, network connectivity, monitoring, change management, and cybersecurity such as risk assessment, data loss prevention, intrusion detection and prevention, encryption, etc. that runs the entire data architecture. In addition, work with OTI and Microsoft and other infrastructure vendors to ensure availability, reliability and scalability.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED?
Experience in AZURE cloud
Experience in Linux and Linux System Administration
Experience with automation tools and scripting is highly desired.
At least 2+ experience with programming languages: Python or Java.
Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications. Database skills - Relational and NoSQL databases.
Building / deploying cloud native applications
Secure cloud continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
